Appearance
This tool on every surface: CLI · MCP · Python · JavaScript · Go · Java · .NET
Read the device's light/dark setting, or change it. These call app_appearance.
Appearance
func (d *Device) Appearance(ctx context.Context, mode string) (string, error)
Appearance reads the light/dark setting, or changes it and returns the new one.
mode is "light", "dark", or "auto" (Android only; iOS returns an error). Pass "" to read without changing. Dark mode is a different rendering of every screen, so a flow is worth running in both; changing it discards the refs from the last Map.
Examples
Switch to dark mode
mode, err := dev.Appearance(ctx, "dark")
if err != nil {
return err
}
fmt.Println("appearance is now", mode)
The same call from the command line, mobium appearance dark, printed on an Android 15 emulator:
dark (was light)
