Fill

This tool on every surface: CLI · MCP · Python · JavaScript · Go · Java · .NET

Clear a specific element and type text into it, replacing what it held — Vibium's fill; app_type adds to it instead. These call app_fill.

Fill

func (d *Device) Fill(ctx context.Context, target, text string) error

Fill clears an element and types into it, replacing what it held.

Examples

Replace what a field holds

if err := dev.Fill(ctx, "testid=search", "coffee"); err != nil {
return err
}

Move a slider to a position

// A slider: its position, from 0 to 1.
if err := dev.Fill(ctx, "label=Volume", "0.3"); err != nil {
return err
}

The same call from the command line, mobium fill label=Volume 0.3, printed on an Android 15 emulator:

moved label=Volume to position 0.3 — it reads "3.0", was "5.0"

On a device
