Notifications · PostNotification · SetShade

This tool on every surface: CLI · MCP · Python · JavaScript · Go · Java · .NET

Read the notification shade, post a notification to it, or open it. These call app_notifications.

Notifications

func (d *Device) Notifications(ctx context.Context) ([]Notification, error)

Notifications lists what is in the shade — how a test asserts an app posted what it should.

PostNotification

func (d *Device) PostNotification(ctx context.Context, title, text string) error

PostNotification puts a notification in the shade as an interruption, and confirms it arrived by reading the shade back.

SetShade

func (d *Device) SetShade(ctx context.Context, open bool) error

SetShade opens or closes the notification panel. A notification cannot be tapped until the shade is open: until then it is not on screen and Map cannot see it. Opening it discards the refs from the last Map.

Examples

Post a notification

// An empty title posts the text alone.
if err := dev.PostNotification(ctx, "", "Your code is 123456"); err != nil {
return err
}

The same call from the command line, mobium notifications --post "Your code is 123456", printed on an Android 15 emulator:

android Serial console enabled — Performance is impacted. To disable, check bootloader.
com.android.shell Mobium — Your code is 123456

Pull the shade down

if err := dev.SetShade(ctx, true); err != nil {
return err
}

The same call from the command line, mobium notifications --shade open, printed on an Android 15 emulator:

com.android.shell Mobium — Your code is 123456
android Serial console enabled — Performance is impacted. To disable, check bootloader.
