Read the device timezone, or change it. These call app_timezone.

timezone​

The device timezone.

@return the zone, as an IANA name

Changes the device timezone and returns the new one. Takes an IANA name such as "Asia/Tokyo"; confirmed by reading it back, since an unknown zone is accepted by the device and ignored. Works on real hardware, unlike incomingCall and sms.

@param tz an IANA zone name, such as "Asia/Tokyo" @return the zone now in force, as read back

Examples​

Move the device to Tokyo time​
