app_reset_permissions
This tool on every surface: CLI · MCP · Python · JavaScript · Go · Java · .NET
Put permissions back to asking, so the app prompts again on next use. Name an app to reset only that app's — on Android every runtime permission it declares is revoked and the person's answers cleared, including the "don't ask again" that two denials leave, and each is read back; one the system or a device policy fixed is kept and named. Revoking a granted permission on Android stops the app, as it does from Settings. Omit the app to reset every app on the device.
Changes the device, the app or the session: readOnlyHint is false.
Arguments
| Name | Type | Required | What it is |
|---|---|---|---|
app | string | Package name on Android or bundle id on iOS, to reset only that app. Omit to reset every app. | |
device | string | Device serial to target, e.g. "emulator-5554". Omit when only one device is running. | |
driver | string: uiautomator2, uiautomator, wda | Driver to use: "uiautomator2" (default for Android; fast, installs a server APK on first use), "uiautomator" (Android, installs nothing, slower, cannot type), or "wda" (WebDriverAgent: iOS simulators and iPhones). |
