notifications · post_notification · shade
This tool on every surface: CLI · MCP · Python · JavaScript · Go · Java · .NET
Read the notification shade, post a notification to it, or open it. These call app_notifications.
notifications
def notifications() -> list[dict]
What is in the notification shade.
How a test asserts an app posted what it should: each entry has package, title and text.
post_notification
def post_notification(text: str, title: str | None=None) -> list[dict]
Put a notification in the shade as an interruption.
Confirmed by reading the shade back — the underlying command prints what it thinks it built and says nothing about whether the system accepted it.
shade
def shade(open: bool) -> list[dict]
Open or close the notification panel.
A notification cannot be tapped until the shade is open: until then it is not on screen and map cannot see it. Discards the refs from the last map.
Examples

Pull the shade down
device.shade(open=True)
