Read the device timezone, or change it. These call app_timezone.

timezone​

def timezone(tz: str | None=None) -> str

Read the device timezone, or change it and return the new one.

Takes an IANA name such as "Asia/Tokyo". Confirmed by reading it back — an unknown zone is accepted by the device and ignored. Works on real hardware, unlike call and sms.

Examples​

Move the device to Tokyo time​

device.timezone("Asia/Tokyo")
